I am so happy about the food change! Both Ryder and Focus got bad dieherra from it and were both put on Pro Plan at 10 weeks! Now I will not have to worry about that problem anymore. I think the vest looks more simpler not, with just the side patches!
I think the vest looks a lot more simple without the patch (and is much less confusing to the public!). Don actually has one of the few newer vests without a GDB logo on it, just the lettering "Guide Dogs". After GDB changed their logo last year, they took the dog images off all the vests they had. I really wish they'd add some sort of visual to the new vests. Don's vest is looking quite plain these days. Anyways, I'm really glad that they've switched over to Purina!
Don't get too excited. Last time GDB and Hills ended their "formal relationship" GDB issued a new food protocol- though I honestly can't remember if the jackets had a Hills logo. Anyone else remember? And guess what? The current jackets are proof that it was renewed, so who's to say it won't happen again in a few years? I don't remember the exact amount of time between the two decisions. But I do know that as soon as the relationship became formal again (I think that's code for they donated the jackets) SD immediately became the first food choice.

ReplyDeleteI read you just throw away the patch!
Hallelujah! So glad to see that Science Diet is no longer a part of GDB!
ReplyDelete@Katlynn Yah... I saw that we could throw away the patch right after I posted this.... :P silly me.
ReplyDeleteAlas, don't throw away your patch! Gah, send it to me if you'd like :)
ReplyDelete@Anna I'm actually gonna keep it. :/ sorry!
