"I Can Tumble Bumble"

Meade learned to walk down stairs!! Yah! I am so proud of him! But since he did that now he is he big brave dog that can do anything.....Ya,..NO! He has tried jumping off, well (oh, crap! I can't remember!) big things and he falls flat on his face! (Oh yeah, it was the about 3-4' retaining wall in our backyard!). So here is a picture of Mr. Brave going down stairs!

P.S. Meade is named after the family that owns the magazine company in Ugly Betty! Thanks for the info, Megan! Does anyone watch Ugly Betty? I have seen a couple and it is pretty entertaining. it keeps my attention!

Free Dog to Good Home

Ok, maybe not! Guide Dogs might be kinda mad at me then.... The reason for his "ad" is that MEADE IS DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!!! He is really attention oriented! If you are not paying attention to him while he is on tiedown he wll start barking (which we ignore) or chewing on a cord coming out of the wall (then we rush over and get it out of his mouth!!!!)! And just today he has started PEEING on tiedown so we rush over and take him out!!!! I NEED HELP!!!! THIS IS A COMMENT ASAP POST!!!! HELP OR I AM GOING TO EXPLODE!!!!!

UGH! Long day!

I've had a long LOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNG day! First of all I didn't get much sleep last night because I stayed at the puppy meeting a long time afterwards chatting with Megan and Hannah! Then i got home really really late! So this morning at school during first period we did review for CRT's (WORSTEST INVENTION EVER!!!!) of course it can't be as bad as college finals but, it still sucks! Then second period I watched Twelfth Night! Some pro actors came to our school and performed it for us! IT WAS AWESOME!!! Thank you Mrs. Morrey (drama teacher) and Ms. Measom (english teacher). Then third period was more review for CRT's and forth period I formatted a newsletter into Microsoft publisher! Then after school I went home and saw Meade! It made me happy :) But then we had to take a trip to my dad's house! So when we got there he explored and has been really good so far! He met Petey and just wants to hang off Petey's ears. Petey isn't a big fan. And now Meade has gone to bed!

9 Week B-day!

Happy birthday Meade! (If you can call it that, I don't know though...)

Well, in this post I was going to tell you how good Meade was and how he didn't have any accidents! Then out of the corner of my eye (Meade was on tiedown next to my computer) I see a puppy squating! So his perfect record for today was ruined..... sigh.

Well, before that whole ordeal I gave him his Galileo bone to chew. He started chewing but it slid across the floor out of his reach. I gave it back to him and it slid away again. So, I made a new toy for him! I stuffed the Galileo bone into his Kong toy! Now it looks like a cool cosmic ray gun!

Oh yeah! I have a question! Do you call your pups "dude" sometimes?

National Volunteer Week!!!!

YAY!!! I would like to start off this post by applauding all of you puppy raisers! *clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap* It is a very big commitment that requires a lot of patience! Not everyone can do it!!! You guys help give confidence to people with visual impairments!! More applause! *clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap* 

Ok, Meade is still very very smart! And I am over yesterday's trauma! Thank you for all of your reassurance! Meade's potty training is going very very very well. He only had 4 accidents yesterday! And only 1 today.............. so far. He also is starting to get the "let's go" command! We went for a walk around the circle I live on and he walked most of the time but he is a garbage mouth. His favorite thing is dandelions. But for the most part he is learning not to.

I feel SO bad!

I feel like a horrible puppy raiser!!! 

First off, I've forgotten Meade's name a couple of times! 

Secondly, I was taking him off his tie down and he had his bone. He was so happy about his bone and was prancing around and for the one second that he was loose in the house he ran into my mom's office and ran head on into the filing cabinet!!! 

I feel so so so so so so so so so so so sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is very smart and I'm afraid that now he might not be!! He is (was) already understanding the "let's go" command!!! 

Meade's sleepytime...........

Well, last night I poured a limp sleepy puppy into his crate at about ten o' clock. I then crawled into bed and started to fall asleep. About thirty seconds later a faint sound came from the kennel.

Then another.

Another.

Another.

Louder.

Louder.

Louder.

HE SNORES!!! He starts out really really quiet and it is kind of cute. Then minutes later he is really really loud!!! I mean REALLY loud! He slept pretty well the rest of the night. I had to take him out only once at about midnight.

Then about seven he woke up and this morning we started his training! His least favorite thing is "that's enough".

And now he is taking a nap right next to the laptop!

And guess what! He is almost completely crate trained! And he doesn't complain about being on tie down! The only problem is his accidents! He is getting better but he just doesn't tell us when he needs to go!

Ok, so we got to the puppy truck a little late, but they didn't start without us! Then I waited and waited and waited for my puppy! And then he finnally came! YAY! He is the second largest new pup in our group! Then, I took him to the grass to go potty. He didn't. He ate dandelions! So after picking a few flowers out of his mouth I picked him up again! Then we took a group picture of all the new pups in our group and I set Meade down and he pottied! Then we drove home and he was a very good boy! Then we got home and when I took him in the house he met the kitty! All he wanted to do was sniff the kitty! And the kitty let him! So then I let him explore the house and then we went outside to meet the pet doggies! All Meade wanted to do was play, but my pups wanted to sniff him! Then we came back in and I fed him (he is the messiest eater) and we let him explore some more! Then I handed him over to my mom to do this post and guess what! HE PIDDLED ON MY MOM'S WORK PAPERS!!!!! So she rushed him outside. They came back in and..... HE PIDDLED AGAIN! So I rushed him outside and he finished! Then I put him in his kennel to take a nap!


Oh, he is very playful and likes to play tug! He can go upstairs okay, but is scared to go down. and he doesn't know his name yet :(

2 hours 45 minutes!!!!

I am so freakin excited!!!!  Today I woke up about 7 ( I had so much trouble falling asleep last night!!!) then I went to bed, then I woke up again and stayed awake! So I got out of bed and took a shower, then I cleaned my room, then I did some dishes, and now here I am! Waiting, waiting waiting! It is 10: 18 here and we aren't leaving until 11:40! Then there is an hour drive to SLC!!!! YUCK!!!! Oh well! By the way! LAST CHANCE TO GUESS NAMES!!!!

24 hours!

Here is the stuff that I bought today! The thing in the middle is a Galileo bone. Also, is the Nylabone Puppy Bone approved by GDB? I am eating at a restaurant right now and don't have a puppy manual with me! I believe it is but I just want to make sure! Anyway, I am so excited for the puppy! I have been having trouble sleeping the past few nights! Tonight is going to be really really hard!

Less than 2 days! (again)

Here is a photo of some of the puppy supplies I have! I have ordered some toys that I will get when I go to pick up Mr. M! I also have a crate, brush, nail clippers and those other essentials! Tomorrow I am going to the pet store and am getting food, and styptic powder. I might get some more toys. I don't know yet. What other puppy supplies do I need to pick up? What toys do you recommend? P.S. This might be the last time for you to guess names for Mr. M!

LIFE SUCKS!!!!! :'(

THE PUPPY TRUCK IS NO LONGER COMING TOMORROW!!!!!! IT IS COMING ON SATURDAY!!! THAT MEANS THAT TODAY WILL BE EXACTLY LIKE YESTERDAY, COUNTDOWN WISE, THAT IS. Now I'm all depressed. :( This really really sucks. 

Less than 2 days!!!

OH YEAH!!! UH HUH!!! I"M SO SO SO SO EXCITED!!!!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!

OK, now on to the real post! Yesterday I promised that I would tell you about my crazy dream! And yes, It does involve puppies!

My dream started with a sunny day! I went outside and the puppy truck sped past me! It drove up to the top of the hill that I live on! The front of the truck was facing away from me and the whole back of the truck came off! Three dogs ran towards me! There was a very tall border collie, and two yellow terriers of some sort. The dogs came and I let them into my house. Then at the top of the stairs my puppy club leader appeared (like some sort of apparition) and I asked her why I had 3 puppies. Then it goes a bit fuzzy......

There you go! It was very very weird! 

Oh yeah! I almost forgot! Guess who's 8 weeks old today!!!! Mr. M of course!!! YAY!!!!

3 DAYS!!!!

Okay, so there is supposed to be a storm here this week!!! OH NO! And it is supposed to snow too!!! OH NO OH NO! BUT! It is supposed to be leaving on Thursday night, making it almost sixty degrees on FRIDAY WHEN THE PUPPY COMES!!!! OK, so the weathermen (and women) on all of the evening news thingies say it will the high will be 53, but this IS Utah and the actual temperature is also 5-10 degrees higher than the high!

I'm getting really nervous about messing up the puppy! I don't want to contribute to a messed up puppy! That would be no good! So my emotions this week have been Nervexciteous (a mixture of nervous and excited!) It is really a weird feeling!

One week + spring break!

So as you saw on an earlier post today I wanted you to vote on the new name of the blog! But since I'm an impatient boy I decided to go ahead and change it now! So the new name of the blog is OFFICIALLY Raising a Puppy, Guide Dog Style!

EEEEEEE!!!!!! Only um....... let me check........ only 4 days until I get the puppy assignment!!! And of course 12 days till the puppy comes!

Anyway, today's topic is my other dog! He lives with my dad! He is kinda stupid so he is always funny! :D So here are some pictures! Isn't fortnight a cool word? I think it is amazing! Just like my most recent spelling of the word cool! Quel (pronounced kewl) Isn't that amazing? Just like all the puppies in my club who are in formal training! Although I have only met two (Sparky and Myra) I am still proud of them! I wish them luck in the rest of their training!

15 days!!!

YAY YAY YAY! Today there is only ONE week until we get our puppy assignments (I think our leader is trying to torture us!!!). Oh, and if you didn't know me and Megan and Fullerton are in the same puppy club (there are even some pictures of me on her blog! Me on Megan's blog  I'm the one in the red shirt!). I digress, last night I was watching Bolt (bestest dog movie EVER [I think]) and little Cruiser would not stop chewing his paws! So finally I went downstairs and got the good ol' sattelitte dish (I don't know it's real name). Since he looked so silly I just had to take pictures!
