Well, in this post I was going to tell you how good Meade was and how he didn't have any accidents! Then out of the corner of my eye (Meade was on tiedown next to my computer) I see a puppy squating! So his perfect record for today was ruined..... sigh.
Well, before that whole ordeal I gave him his Galileo bone to chew. He started chewing but it slid across the floor out of his reach. I gave it back to him and it slid away again. So, I made a new toy for him! I stuffed the Galileo bone into his Kong toy! Now it looks like a cool cosmic ray gun!
Sadly, "dude" does slip into my vocabulary when I am addressing my pooch. LOL I love making new toys. :) I have stuffed a steril bone through a goughnut and various nylabones in kongs before. Never thought of putting the galileo in a kong though. . . I may have to steal that idea. :D
ReplyDeleteonly if they are 'dudes' :D
ReplyDeleteMy pup gets called "dude", Lil dude" and so on. Congrats on the new pup by the way! I am a raiser in California, and I also work at GDB. I am co-raising Morrissey, a male Golden Retriever, he is almost 8 months old. I started raising when I was 9 years old, my mom took over while I was at college, and now I have my own pup again. Morrissey is the 17th pup We've raised...I think. I've lost count. Keep us the great work and thanks for sharing all of your fun stories and adventures with us!
ReplyDeleteI have been known to call my boys "dude". I usually try to veer away from those girly names when I'm addressing Peyton. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy week-day, Meade! It's Westin's week-day too, but he's 8 weeks.
ReplyDeleteThat is quite the creative toy! I have never made a new toy, but now I'm going to have to try it - thanks! I don't call my dogs "dude", but sometimes I accidentally say "buddy" or "lil' guy!"
Utterly brilliant. I'm going to give that a shot. Our dogs will probably go nuts :)
ReplyDeleteThat's great. We've done the nylabones in the kongs, but never the Galileo ones. :)
ReplyDeleteOh wow, you'd be surprised what I call some of these dogs. Dude occasionally, but more often things like Stinker or Baby Face. :)
Happy 9 weeks. Not "dude" but, "monkey", "big guy", "little gal" and a bunch of others.
ReplyDeleteWow, its good to see I'm not the only one, but yes my dogs get called Dude alll the time. Alllllll the time! ha ha
ReplyDeleteShoving something in a kong always makes the toy better!
ReplyDeleteSadly, I have to admit that not only do I call my boys Dude, but it keeps slipping out now that I have a girl too. Poor Poppy! She's going to have emotional issues after some time with me! Ha!
