Meade's sleepytime...........

Well, last night I poured a limp sleepy puppy into his crate at about ten o' clock. I then crawled into bed and started to fall asleep. About thirty seconds later a faint sound came from the kennel.

Then another.

Another.

Another.

Louder.

Louder.

Louder.

HE SNORES!!! He starts out really really quiet and it is kind of cute. Then minutes later he is really really loud!!! I mean REALLY loud! He slept pretty well the rest of the night. I had to take him out only once at about midnight.

Then about seven he woke up and this morning we started his training! His least favorite thing is "that's enough".

And now he is taking a nap right next to the laptop!

  1. Wow, it sounds like the first night went really well! Trust me, snoring is much better than crying as though death is near, as three of my four puppies have done.

  3. Yes, snoring is not nearly as bad as crying--but both can be loud! Cabana is an extremely loud snorer, too. Hope you got those ear plugs!!

  4. Sounds like a good night! At least with snoring that means that he is sleeping! That "You are killing me scream" is SO much worse! My 1st pup snored...but rather quietly! Your new pup is rather adorable...and I love his name!

  7. YAy!!! Meade...what a cute name...And I'd agree with everyone else..be glad he isn't a scream/whiner. We had one that was so bad he had to sleep in the garage until he outgrew his whining phase.

  9. His big brother, Accord (another Elsa puppy) snored really really loud too! If he was on tie down sleeping next to my husband on the couch, I couldn't always tell who it was! You will adapt quickly! Then, he will be away for a night and it will be hard to sleep without his snoring!
